Event Highlights:
U.S. BANK PLAZA
1 South Pinckney
6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Sing along to some of your favorites songs of Ken Lonnquist and the Kenland Band. Ken's knack for creating clever, entertaining and insightful songs - some made up right on the spot -- will have ribs tickling and your toes tapping. Fold your own paper airplane and fly higher with US as you launch it at the makeshift runway. Or, try your hand at one of our Wii stations as you zoom around a virtual racetrack. From 6:00 -9:00 p.m., have your face painted, get a temporary tattoo or ask the Balloon Guys to create a balloon hat just for you. Ready to model you new look? Take a ride around the Capitol Square on a hay wagon from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Bucky Badger will be here from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. and will help us to celebrate the kiddie countdown balloon drop at 7:30 pm. Before the night is through, put your talent to work in the craft room making a pink flamingo, pocket-sized 3D helicopter or design your very own New Year's resolution door hanger. Don't miss the evening's finale, the U.S. Bank Eve fireworks! Starting at 10:05, best viewing of this display is from the Square.

MONONA TERRACE

6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Visit Monona Terrace for a night of fun for all ages. The ever purple and loveable Truly Remarkable Loon juggles giant bean bags, spins plates and tales of fun in the Grand Terrace at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m. Rick Wilcox will amaze you with his Las Vegas-style magic show in the Madison Ballroom at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Primitive Culture, Madison Area's Music Awards 2007 "Artist of the Year" winner, will perform in the Hall of Ideas from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. This five-piece band creates a unique blend of funk, blues and tropical rhythms to warm your soul and move your feet. Make sure to head down to the Lower Lever Inflatable Gymnasium. New this year is a Quadruple Wii game station, including Guitar Hero. Taller children can race through an obstacle course adventure, or go, feet first, down a giant T Rex Slide. If you don't make the height requirements for the taller-size inflatable fun, not a problem! Shorter children have several inflatable bounces all their own, including a Wizard and Dinosaur Bounce and a Bounce N Slide, and before the night is through, board the Circus Train. Stop by Olin Terrace to see the wonders of the night sky, weather permitting, through telescopes manned by UW Space Place volunteers.
